It’s unforturnate. They seem too focused on getting celebrity cameos and it’s to the detriment of the show. When there is no cameo, the episodes are actually pretty good.

They’ve always been cameo heavy, but they need to back it up with good writing, which has largely been absent. Not to mention they’ve literally done every story they could five times over by now.

You might not then. There are a lot of 80's references here (the song for example is from scarface) as well as old Simpsons episode references (like the max power setting, flanders’ tattoos, and the green 3d grid from Homer^3.
